At first, I didn't want to watch this movie. The blurb on the box wasn't very convincing. The only thing that attracted me was Bill Murray in the lead role, so I decided to watch it. Then I discovered that the film featured such great actors as Cate Blanchett and Willem Dafoe, and Owen Wilson isn't bad either. Surprisingly, the film drew me in from the very beginning. It's quite difficult to put into words exactly why. One thing is certain—the film is completely original, unlike anything else. It's a bizarre mix of different genres—comedy, drama, adventure, and even action in places—that makes you laugh and cry, hope and worry along with the characters. Of course, it cannot be said that everyone will like this film; moreover, I think that most people will not be able to get through it to the end. And not because they are stupid and don't understand anything, but simply because this approach is not to everyone's taste. But fans of “intellectual” cinema can still get a lot of pleasure from watching it.
