To be honest, I didn't expect it. After watching the first part, I was sure that none of the subsequent parts would shock me so much. I was wrong.
After watching it, I couldn't get over it for a long time. How did the writers manage to come up with such a seemingly logical yet unusual storyline? It puts some things in place, but also makes you think again. The ending, in my opinion, if not more unexpected than in the first part, is certainly on par with it.
I'm looking forward to the fifth part, especially since Rigg, Danny Glover, and Wahlberg will be back in some capacity... But I'm most interested in a character named Obi, who flashed by in one of the flashbacks in the third part.
But let's get back to this one. In my opinion, it is the most ambiguous and intense.
I finally began to understand John's motives. Perhaps his methods of fighting stupid, mean, insignificant, evil people are the only means in a world where, when a man is beaten up in the subway, most people calmly leaf through their magazines. There's just one thing I don't understand—why John dragged Rigg into the game. He's not a sinner. He saved people. Or is John ready to torment people even for the most insignificant flaws, such as impatience?
However, I am sure that the subsequent films will provide answers to all questions.
