The Creeps 4K 2025

Maybe it was my mistake to expect something a bit more serious yet still funny. As it turns out, "The Creeps" is just a goofy, silly comedy that might be more enjoyable if one were intoxicated while watching (though that's not recommended). It felt like a movie made by stoners for stoners. Don't expect some Nordic version of Gremlins, even though it hints more than once at parodying it (and many other films too). While it didn't look cheap, it definitely felt like they got a budget and decided to spend it on everything except good writers. Who needs those when you just want to have fun making a movie? And in some scenes, that fun shines through-I did laugh a few times, though more at the sheer insanity than at the jokes. A B-movie and a good-looking schlockfest. Maybe now that I know what it is, I could enjoy it more on a second watch. But just maybe.
