One day I got my hands on a collection of Star Trek films, and I immediately began to get acquainted with them.
The first film is based on the Original Series, and features Kirk and Spock, as well as other recognizable characters from the series. The beginning of the picture, in addition to flying through space with familiar music, shows us a fleet of Klingons who are in serious trouble. A cloud of energy of unknown origin deals a crushing blow to the warlike Klingons, all indications that this is the main anti-hero of the film. This is true. Kirk then arrives at the legendary Enterprise in the space shipyard, awaiting the completion of the redesign. But circumstances force the crew to turn on the warp engines at full ahead of time and deal once and for all with a mysterious accumulation of energy that threatens Mother Earth.
The film will be of interest not only to fans of the series, it is a solid fantasy in itself. Great special effects (isn't that why we often watch sci-fi?), Charismatic characters, and most importantly, a rather unpredictable twist at the end.
The only drawback is the protractedness, especially the scenes of flying over the cloud. The rest is a good movie, I liked it. I think you will like it too.
