The presence of Robert Fuest and Michael Moorcock among the creators of this film speaks volumes. However, there is simply nothing masterful about this film. What we have here is a very lively and dynamic story centered on the search for a microfilm containing a discovery that is important for the whole world. Throughout the film, the characters seem to be spinning in circles, and the irony-laden dialogue clearly outweighs the fantasy element of the film. And when the erotic scenes come into play, the spectacle becomes completely phantasmagorical. It's not quite a precursor to ‘Britain's Hospital’, nor is it an interpretation of the film ‘Morgan: A Suitable Clinical Case’.
Of course, you wouldn't immediately guess that the screenwriter of this film is Moorcock, known for his novels about Hawkman and Elric. Instead of fantasy, we find ourselves in an ironic avant-garde dream. The plot takes a back seat, leaving bold stylistic gibberish in the foreground. However, the fragmentary nature of the narrative and the lack of coherence in this case do not turn out to be a failure. This film is too dynamic and ‘lively’.
