I've watched several Peter Jackson films. And in my opinion, nothing, he was not even close to being able to shoot like screen versions of the books of the old wizard Tolkien. I watched the Lord of the Rings at the age of 14 and I liked it so much. that after I read 3 books of the ring, the hobbit, and the silmarilion. Apparently Jackson loves this story. When I watched it, I felt like I returned to my childhood. This is truly a classic in the fantasy genre. Tolkien's creations are war and peace from a segment of fabulous reality. The film turned out to be magnificent, interesting dialogues, beautiful general plans of the world (to which few of the related films devote enough time and attention, limiting themselves to a couple of three wide scenes), magnificent 3D animation - I myself am a little fond of this, and even with a well-trained look it is sometimes difficult to understand where 3D is effects go to and from cinematography, very subtle splices, storyboards and layering.
Beautiful dialogues taken from the book, in which one does not feel the excessive pathos characteristic of many representatives of modern science fiction literature, but there is dignity, conformity to time and place. Jackson filmed this picture with great attention to detail, sometimes it makes him look too epic in my opinion, but I understand that people and especially young people love this, too colorful and on a grand scale, and the film needs to beat the budget. All the characters are very lively, and even secondary and tertiary ones, for example, some of the Rivendel elves, are shown enough and speak to the point, quite to understand their common traits and problems. It is truly iconic, multi-aged, beautiful and deep fantasy, with humor and depth. And most importantly, it has the atmosphere of a great adventure. I advise everyone to watch, preferably in the company of true friends. I hope that Jackson will one day send us to the dawn of the creation of the world, in the era of myths and legends, and one day he will shoot the Silmarilion. As for the hobbit.
