Demons 4K 1985

I found out about this film quite by accident. I just read someone's reviews and it was written about this film. Somehow I immediately became interested and wanted to see it. "Italian trash horror movie about demons in the cinema" is a very tempting proposition. And I looked at it for a reason.

Before us is a rather unusual film. For a long time I could not believe that it was filmed in Italy. Although I have seen very few Italian films, in my opinion, it does not look like their films, and it was filmed in English, and the shooting itself took place in Berlin (the cinema where the action takes place really exists). But nevertheless, this film cannot be called American for sure, they will definitely not shoot this.

First of all, I was pleased with the plot and the concept of the plot. Several people accidentally end up in the same cinema, which was unexpectedly opened after a long downtime. Now they are playing some kind of horror movie. But suddenly strange things begin to happen, some spectators turned into monsters, and the cinema itself was walled up. ... Agree, the beginning is interesting. And, in my opinion, generally a masterpiece. Personally, I had similar thoughts when watching some horror films in cinemas. So the idea is great. I was very pleased with the large amount of humor, and not only "black". For the first fifty minutes, you can safely put a ten and add to Favorites, but the remaining screen time is much worse. It's just that the second half of the film is rather boring and monotonous, reminiscent of many thrash horror films about zombies and other evil spirits. Moreover, it is annoying that there is no explanation of the reason for the appearance of the monsters, and the fact that in the end they were distracted from the topic of cinema, I was somewhat disappointed. Although the finale was very pleasing, it was quite stylish and I understood where Robert Rodriguez got his inspiration when creating Planet of Terror.

The director of the tape is Lamberto Bava, to my shame I have not seen a single of his films, but I will try to improve. He is at least a good director, since everything is in order with the direction in this film. It looks easy and interesting, except that the second half slows down because of the boring plot. I was very pleased with the excellent atmosphere, it is clear that they filmed it with soul and love. But what amazed was that with such a funny plot and an abundance of self-irony, this film can even scare, at least I was scared. I would like to see it in the cinema. And the film is surprisingly well made, it is difficult to call it a trash. And special thanks to the make-up artists for a job well done. But nevertheless, with bloodiness in places, too much, but these are Italians, and they do not like to deny themselves anything. And loved the crazy soundtrack from Accept, Motley Crue and Billy Idol. Well, the acting work is very good.
