Contrary to expectations from the long-worn genre of a short story in the style of "In one black-black city ..." designed to brighten up the moment of falling asleep in a pioneer camp, the fresh anthology of horror stories demonstrates excellent black humor along with a very fresh perspective on the presentation of the topic of crime and punishment. Seriously, very much!
Sweet girl Sam comes to a sinister-looking funeral agency to get a job as a helper. A monstrous old man no younger than three hundred years shows her how everything works here, and at the same time recalls with pleasure the stories of his "clients", starting with the rather funny and the further, the sadder.
The first story is a very tiny but charming realization of all those curses that are generously sent to the pickpockets of the victim. Here the viewer is definitely not on the side of the thief, no matter how cute she is.
But the second story is a real holiday! Personal hell for a pick-up artist, where he works out in bulk all those tears that the girls of the planet have cried over the last thousand years. Honestly, my heart sank - poor fellow. Ladies, this is too much.
The third story is a sad allegory of a marriage that has come to a standstill, a trap from which there is only one way out - to cut on the living. The drama is mixed with such a cheerful trash that even I felt uncomfortable, and, it would seem, everyone had seen.
The girl Sam is generally satisfied with the stories, although not without remarks, and then tells her own, which, of course, is more trenchant than all the previous ones put together.
A great movie to tickle your nerves and laugh.
