With a string of Disney remakes, it's very easy to think that they have lost all originality and are just doing business. But, here, recently shot a stunning and complex cartoon 'Soul'. Now, out of the blue, 'Raya and the Last Dragon' appears in front of us.
And this is really something unique. The whole story unfolds in the eastern state of Kumantra, whose tribes tried to live in peace, worshiping dragons, but failed. Because of the powerful dragon stone, people went to war against each other, so five separate countries appeared. At some point, the father of the main character, Raiya, decides to gather all the inhabitants for a feast. But drunk with greed, they break the stone into several parts. This frees the Druun demons, which turn everyone to stone. Since then, Raya has been trying to piece all the pieces together.
This is how an exciting and varied adventure begins in exotic worlds. Each of them in the picture is special and incredibly beautiful.
Before us, it seems, is a classic Disney tale. All the roles are handed out to the characters, but the cartoon does not follow the canons at all. He tells the story as competently as possible, correctly places the accents. For some one and a half hours in front of us and an absolutely alien world will open up, and the characters will be remembered, and touches everyone from small to large to the depths of the soul.
The animated cartoon is very soundly and often resembles the style of 'Frozen'. But, in general, this is the current style of the studio. And he's quite graceful.
'Raya and the Last Dragon' is exactly that magical adventure that is worth living for both children and adults.
