The Conquest of Everest 1953

It can be said that the preparation for this event took 30 years. In the early 1920s, the British Malloroy Expedition made a failed attempt to climb the highest mountain in the world. This movie was made to contrast that with the more successful (and therefore better known) attempt to climb it in 1952. Most of the footage shown in the movie was filmed by one of the expedition members.
