After missing the second installment, director Wilson Yip is back to work on his third installment 'Paradox'. Like all previous installments, the movie is filled with action, staged fights and emotional scenes. The director himself is known to many viewers for the trilogy 'Ip Man', in which he put all his soul and skill in creating an impressive story about the legendary man, so the director's professionalism, I think, is not to be doubted. So this time a wave of exciting events envelop the main character from the first minutes of the story. According to the plot, the adult daughter of a Chinese policeman is kidnapped in Thailand. The unrestrained father, abandoning all his affairs, instantly sets off in search of his only child, where an unbelievable in its cruelty confrontation, fist fights and countless shootings await him.
Of course, the production is made in the best traditions of Asian cinema, where martial arts are used, as there are many fights in the movie and they do not come from only one person. The main character is helped throughout the story by desperate daredevils who rush into battle without fear or doubt. The story itself is quite simple and not overloaded with plot twists, but right away I would like to note that in each part of the franchise there was always room for strong emotional scenes, so the viewer should be ready to empathize with tears in his eyes.
Of course, I won't say that this is the best part of the whole trilogy, but it still perfectly complements the general concept, so if you have watched the previous parts or just are a fan of Louis Koo and Tony Jha's skills, this movie is for you. Enjoy the movie for all fans of Asian cinema.
