The Blues Brothers 4K 1980 EXTENDED

For a very long time I did not write positive reviews, but this time everything will be different, because this film is just a bomb! Indeed, one can only take off his hat to John Landis, because it is incomprehensible to the mind how he managed to create such a delicious and hurricane cocktail. Having mixed adventure adventure, musical, comedy into a bunch and seasoned it with real musical legends, he managed to remove all this without a drop of pathos that modern Hollywood is unlikely to ever be able to and with what almost all modern comedies sin. Instead, he offered a healthy banter on such serious topics as law, religion, morality. Some Nazis from Illinois are worth it! A chase ?! They were shot simply gorgeous, all sorts of "Fast and the Furious" and other nonsense weren't standing nearby, they even went about mentioning them.

And importantly, with all this, the Blues Brothers remains an amazingly good film, it's not like murder - there is no blood. For two hours no one hit anyone, except for the "beating" of the brothers by a nun at the very beginning of the picture. But you can't just look at him without laughing. It is also noteworthy that in his sparkling creation, the director did not spare even art, laughing at the music with cinema (remember at least the episode with Ray Charles). However, with all this, John Landis managed not to go too far with action, not to overdo it with humor, not to strike into epicity, not to forget about the original idea and just shot a good comedy, incredibly uplifting. In each frame you can feel how the people who worked on this film love their job, bow low to them for this.

And I will remember the imperturbable physiognomy of the Blues Brothers for a very long time
