The action of the film takes place as a continuation of the events described in the first part. Evelyn, Regan and Marcus explore the abandoned city and meet Emmett (Cillian Murphy), who protects from the monster that attacked them. Then all four go to the shelter to help the rest of the survivors. Soon they learn that there are other creatures besides monsters ...
The sequel, if anything, does not make sense to watch without the first film. But no matter what happens in the ending with the heroes, in 'Quiet Place 2' they reappear in the original lineup. Surprisingly, a pretty strong sequel came out. The dynamics of action and storytelling is created through side-by-side editing. In the beginning - between the present and the past, then - by dividing the heroes into two pairs: mother and son, daughter and unexpectedly appeared neighbor.
Krasinski repeats the maneuvering that he miraculously succeeded in the original - a worthy screamer here, a screamer there, the unnerving chirping of eared monsters - which received a little more attention here, and this is only a plus, the director's favorite parallel editing and ringing silence, as soon as Regan gets her hearing aid. .. and we all stare at the big screen with bated breath. Believe me, the general turmoil and rhythm does not spoil the picture at all, then the main trouble of this continuation lies in the intimate conversations. All that is missing is the proudly waving whole American flag, honestly. There are minor technical bloopers, without them, apparently nowhere.
The finale of the second part of 'A Quiet Place', like that of the first original film, is open. So, the third part is not far off, it all depends on the sequel's fees. I've heard that Krasinski has a lot of ideas for a direct continuation, the main thing is that everything turns out to be interesting and logical. Fingers crossed!
