The movie is truly magnificent. Even now, compared to newer projects and after so many other films, it still holds up very, very well—and how could it be otherwise? After all, it’s the movie of our childhood, and it’s a damn good one.
No one can replicate that atmosphere or that setting. That’s what makes "Mortal Kombat" so special. Years go by, technology changes, new movies come out, but this film remains unrivaled.
Because it’s masterfully crafted, because the cast is 200% perfect, because the fights are mesmerizing, and because the characters have become iconic. It’s one of those movies you want to recommend to everyone, even though it certainly doesn’t need any recommendations.
The scale, otherworldly creatures, special effects, setting, and a wide variety of fights—each one more thrilling than the last. Where else can you see something like this?
The best fighting movie of all time and probably the best video game adaptation—a true cinematic classic, a timeless film. I think many people would agree with that.
